AirStrike

The Air Strike is the second alternative fire weapon for Squads, you can attain them via the Research Cube on the Mine Level.

Firing this weapon creates a Grenade-like projectile that can be lobbed a decent distance, causing little airships from above to fly over and drop explosives, this is the most powerful alternative weapon, however the downside is that it's slow to get what you want and virtually impossible to use against more agile opponents, as well as the dropped bomb does not land exactly on the beacon when they are dropped, making them tricky for precision destruction.

As all alternative Squad weapons, you can only fire one Air Strike beacon per Squad member at a time, you will hear a charging up sound to show that they are ready to fire another. Also, some Enemies can only be defeated through explosive weapons, such as Spiders and Soul Destroyers.

Tactics:

• This is great for wiping out very large masses of opponents in a single sweep
• This is a choice of weapon against powerful--but stationary--targets such as deployed Armour or the red cubes in the Temple level.
• The airships have their own usefulness, as enemy Darwinians and Armour will begin to fire at them, offering a possible distraction.
• Like Grenades, this weapon is best shot downhill to your target.

• v1.0 Air Strike - Only one airship arrives
• v2.0 Air Strike - Two airships
• v3.0 Air Strike - Three "
• v4.0 Air Strike - Four "
